Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TypeLords (typelords.com), operated by Pexels360 Solutions LLP ("Pexels360", "we", "us"). By using TypeLords, you agree to these Terms.

If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. The service

TypeLords is a hosted typing competition platform. At the top of every hour, all participants worldwide receive the same passage and have 60 seconds to type as much as they can, as accurately as they can. Results, rankings, and statistics are computed and displayed after each battle. We may add additional features (practice modes, certificates, identity badges, and so on) over time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have a parent or legal guardian's permission to use the service. By using TypeLords, you confirm you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
• All activity under your account.
• Providing accurate information when creating your account.

Notify us at ping@typelords.com if you suspect your account is compromised. Each person may have only one account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Cheat, manipulate, or attempt to manipulate battle results, including using bots, scripts, paste injection, voice typing, autocomplete, or any tool that types for you.
• Create multiple accounts to inflate stats or evade restrictions.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of TypeLords.
• Scrape, copy, or republish leaderboards, passages, or user data without our written permission.
• Interfere with the service, our infrastructure, or other users.
• Use the service for anything illegal under Indian law or the law of the jurisdiction you're using it from.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, country, or affiliation.

We use anti-cheat systems including server-side validation, keystroke analysis, and statistical thresholds. Results that exceed plausible human limits may be flagged or excluded from leaderboards. We may suspend or terminate accounts found to be cheating.

5. Pre-launch lifetime offer

Until the public launch, lifetime access to TypeLords is offered at a one-time price (₹599 in India, $7 internationally, subject to change). After launch, the same access will be sold as a monthly subscription.

"Lifetime" means the lifetime of the TypeLords service. We commit to operating TypeLords as long as it is commercially viable. If we ever shut down the service, we will give existing users at least 30 days' notice and provide an export of their stats and history.

Lifetime access includes all current features and feature additions that fall within TypeLords' original scope (TypeWars, practice, certificates, leaderboards, identity badges). Future products explicitly marketed as separate from TypeLords are not included.

6. Payments and invoices

Payments are processed by PayU (India) and PayPal (international). We do not see or store your card details. After successful payment, we send a GST-compliant invoice to your registered email.

For Indian payments, we charge 18% GST. International payments are zero-rated under LUT (export of services). All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

See our Refund Policy for details. In short: eligible refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if you have not significantly used the service.

8. Content and ownership

TypeLords, its name, logo, design, code, and content (including passages we generate and curate) are owned by Pexels360. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use the service for your personal use.

Battle results you generate are your own. We license them from you for the purpose of operating leaderboards, analytics, and the service. You may request export of your data at any time.

9. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but make no guarantees. TypeWars start at the top of every UTC hour and we plan our deployments around them; if we ever need maintenance during a battle, we will publish a notice in advance where possible.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. For paid lifetime members, see Section 5 for our shutdown commitment.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by emailing ping@typelords.com. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, particularly the acceptable use rules. If we terminate a paid account for cheating or other serious violations, no refund is owed.

11. Disclaimers

TypeLords is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your results will be preserved indefinitely. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pexels360 will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹2,000 — whichever is greater.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of TypeLords will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Goa, India.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when. For material changes, we'll notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept them.
