Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TypeLords (typelords.com), operated by Pexels360 Solutions LLP, Goa, India ("TypeLords", "we", "us"). By using TypeLords, you agree to these Terms.

If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. The service

TypeLords is a hosted typing platform. It currently includes the following activities:

• TypeWars — a global typing contest held every hour on the hour.
• TypeLegends — a daily global typing contest.
• TypeH2H — one-versus-one typing duels.
• TypeAcademy — structured typing drills organised into grades.
• TypeCareers — career-themed typing sessions.
• TypeTest — certification-grade typing tests with verifiable certificates.
• TypePractice — open-ended practice across multiple modes and languages, with stats.
• TypeGames — a typing arcade containing several individual games.
• Other modes — including short-form and free-form typing experiences offered from time to time.

Every typing activity on TypeLords is free to use. Every activity, every level of the TypeLords Journey, and every certificate is available at no cost. TypeLords Pro (section 7) is an optional paid upgrade that adds benefits but does not unlock activities or content.

We may add, modify, or remove activities over time. Material changes will be communicated by email to active users.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use TypeLords. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly accept registrations from minors. If we determine that an account holder is under 18, we will close the account.

This requirement applies to everyone, including learners taking an assessment through an institute or company account (section 8). There are no exceptions.

You must also be legally able to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction, and your use of TypeLords must comply with all applicable laws.

3. Your account

To use the activities, you must create an account using your email address or a Google account. You are responsible for keeping access credentials secure. Don't share your account; everything done through it is treated as done by you.

We may suspend, disable, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that engage in cheating or abuse, or that are dormant for an extended period. A disabled account is signed out and cannot sign in again while the restriction is in place.

4. Public profiles and handles

Your profile may be publicly viewable, and you may claim a custom handle. Handles are provided at our discretion. We may revoke a handle — and withdraw the ability to claim another — where it impersonates a person or organisation, is offensive, is used to mislead, or otherwise breaches these Terms. A revoked handle may be permanently withdrawn from circulation.

You can make your profile private from your console at any time.

5. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• Use any automated tool, bot, script, macro, browser extension, or assistive software (including voice-to-text dictation) to produce typing results.
• Inject, dispatch, or otherwise generate synthetic input events intended to mimic real typing.
• Paste, copy, screenshot, OCR, or otherwise reproduce passage text into the typing surface from any source other than your own keystrokes.
• Create multiple accounts to game leaderboards, referrals, or rewards.
• Sell, transfer, or share an account; manipulate TL Coins; or attempt to launder rewards through coordinated play.
• Reverse engineer, probe, scrape, or attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to access.
• Interfere with other users, disrupt the service, or attempt to overwhelm our infrastructure.
• Use the service for any illegal, fraudulent, harassing, or offensive purpose.

6. Anti-cheat

TypeLords operates an active anti-cheat program. We capture per-keystroke timing metadata and a coarse device fingerprint for completed runs and analyse them for cheating signals. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect.

If a run is flagged and reviewed as cheating, we may, at our sole discretion: invalidate the result, revoke any certificate issued in connection with it, deduct unlawfully-awarded TL Coins, exclude the user from leaderboards, disable or suspend the account, or in serious cases terminate the account permanently. No refund is due on a Pro plan where an account is terminated for cheating or abuse — see our Refunds Policy.

7. TypeLords Pro (paid)

TypeLords Pro is an optional paid upgrade. It is the only paid product on TypeLords.

What Pro gives you: double TL Coins on the coins you earn from activities, an ad-free experience for the duration of your plan, and the Pro badge on your profile and on leaderboards.

What Pro does not do: Pro does not unlock activities, levels, certificates, or content — all of that is free for everyone. Pro does not improve your typing results, guarantee any rank or contest outcome, or confer any advantage in contests beyond the coin multiplier stated above.

• Pro is offered as a Monthly or Annual plan. Prices are shown at typelords.com/pro and may change; the price you see at checkout is the price you pay for that term.
• Access is granted immediately on successful payment.
• Pro does not auto-renew. Nothing is charged automatically. You renew deliberately from your console.
• Renewing before your plan ends adds the new period to the days remaining rather than replacing them.
• When a plan ends, Pro benefits stop and your account continues as a free account. Your TL Coins, ranks, Journey progress, and certificates are unaffected.
• Payments from India are processed by PayU in INR; international payments by PayPal in USD. We do not store your card details. An invoice is issued for every payment.

Refunds are governed by our Refunds Policy.

8. Institutes and companies

TypeLords offers an institutes and companies facility that allows an organisation to create typing assessments, invite learners, view their results, and issue co-branded certificates. This facility is currently free to use.

If you register or administer an institute account, you agree that:

• You are authorised to act on behalf of the organisation you register.
• Every learner you invite or assess must be 18 years of age or older, and must hold their own TypeLords account. Sign-in is required to take an assessment. You must not invite, enrol, or assess anyone under 18.
• Learners' assessment results, including their name and performance, will be visible to the administrators of your institute account. You are responsible for telling your learners this, for having a lawful basis to process their information, and for complying with applicable data-protection law in your jurisdiction.
• Co-branded certificates may carry your organisation's name. You are responsible for the accuracy of that name and for the right to use it. We may withdraw co-branding, disable a test link, or disable an institute account that is misused, misrepresents an organisation, or breaches these Terms.
• You will not use the facility to collect information from learners beyond what the assessment requires.

Because the institutes facility is free, no payment is taken and the Refunds Policy does not apply to it. We may introduce paid institute features in future; if we do, they will be offered on terms notified at that time.

9. TL Coins, rewards, and certificates

Typing runs and successful referrals award TL Coins and may advance your rank on the seven-stage TypeLords Journey. The referral program has its own rules — see Referral Program Terms. TL Coins are an in-product reward unit:

• They have no cash value, are not redeemable for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts.
• We may adjust their issuance, mechanics, or balances at any time.
• We may deduct or reset TL Coins that were earned through cheating or other Terms violations.
• Purchasing Pro does not purchase TL Coins. The Pro multiplier applies to coins you earn through play; it does not grant a coin balance and creates no entitlement to any particular amount.

Some activities (such as TypeWars, TypeLegends, and TypeH2H) use TL Coins as an entry stake to take part. This is an in-product mechanic; TL Coins are earned through play and have no cash value.

Certificates issued by TypeLords are tied to the run that earned them. We may revoke a certificate if the underlying run is later determined to have been produced in violation of these Terms.

10. Intellectual property

TypeLords, the TypeLords name and brand, the logo, the activity names (including TypeWars, TypeLegends, TypeAcademy, TypeCareers, TypeTest, TypePractice, TypeH2H, and TypeGames), the visual design, and the underlying code are owned by Pexels360 Solutions LLP. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission, except where allowed by applicable law.

Typing passages and other activity content are provided by us for the sole purpose of running the typing activities and are not intended for redistribution.

Certificates issued to you are yours to share publicly. The underlying certificate page at typelords.com/certificate/[id] remains hosted by us; if your account is closed, the public URL may also be retired.

11. Disclaimers

TypeLords is provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep it running smoothly, but we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular result will be available at any particular time.

Hourly TypeWars and daily TypeLegends contests depend on contest infrastructure that may be subject to maintenance windows or outages. A specific contest hour or day may be skipped or rescheduled in such cases. Where a paid Pro benefit is materially unavailable for a meaningful period due to a fault on our side, see the Refunds Policy.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pexels360 Solutions LLP and its partners, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of TypeLords.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) INR 1,000, or (b) the amount you paid us for TypeLords Pro in the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Pexels360 Solutions LLP harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the service, or your violation of any law or any third-party right. If you administer an institute account, this includes claims arising from learners you invited or assessed.

14. Termination

You may stop using TypeLords at any time and close your account by writing to ping@typelords.com. We may suspend, disable, or terminate your access at any time for violations of these Terms, including (without limitation) cheating or abuse of other users.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.

15. Changes to the service or these Terms

We may modify the service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to active users at least 14 days before they take effect, except in urgent cases (security, anti-fraud, legal compliance) where the change may take effect sooner. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts at Mapusa, Goa, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the service, subject to applicable consumer protection laws that may grant you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
