Daily Typing Contest

TypeLegends is the daily typing contest — one shared passage for a full GMT day, a 1,000-coin ticket, and the largest prizes on TypeLords. It's the elite tier: a higher entry, a longer window, and a board that stands for the whole day.

• One passage per day, identical for every entrant worldwide.
• A ticket costs 1,000 TL Coins and covers up to 3 attempts.
• Only your best attempt counts toward your final rank.
• Results settle at GMT midnight and are then frozen permanently.

Same idea, different scale. TypeWars runs every hour with a small ticket and small prizes; TypeLegends runs once a day with a much larger ticket, much larger prizes, and a full day to post your best score.

• Window: an hour in TypeWars, a full GMT day here.
• Ticket: 1,000 TL Coins here, against a far smaller entry for the hourly.
• Prizes: up to 50,000 coins for first place, an order of magnitude above the hourly.
• Certificates: 10 per day here, against one per hour in TypeWars.

First place takes 50,000 TL Coins, second 20,000 and third 10,000. Ranks 4 to 10 get their ticket refunded rather than a prize, and everyone in the top 10 earns a certificate.

• 1st: 50,000 TL Coins — a net gain of 49,000 after the ticket.
• 2nd and 3rd: 20,000 and 10,000 TL Coins.
• Ranks 4–10: ticket refunded, so the day nets you nothing but costs nothing either.
• Top 10 all receive a verifiable certificate regardless of prize.

Depends entirely on where you finish, and it's worth being straight about the maths. The ticket is spent when you buy it and prizes are paid on top, so ranks 4 to 10 break exactly even and anything below that is a loss.

• Top 3: a clear net gain, 49,000 coins at the top.
• Ranks 4–10: you get your 1,000 back and finish level.
• Outside the top ten: the ticket is gone, and that's what funds the prize pool.
• If you're not confident of a top-ten finish, the hourly contest is the cheaper way to compete.

No. Tickets are paid in TL Coins, which are earned by typing anywhere on TypeLords and cannot be purchased. The entry fee costs you accumulated effort rather than money.

• Coins come from practice, tests, academy grades and career sessions.
• There's no purchase path for coins, so a place on the board can't be bought.
• TypeLords Pro doubles coin earnings but gives no advantage inside a contest.
• Saving up 1,000 coins is itself a few sessions of typing.
